Award-winning writer and University of Michigan professor, Natalie Bakopoulos presents her debut novel, The Green Shore. The Green Shore takes its readers through a journey of a family and their experiences of dissent and desire during Greece's 1967 military coup d'état. Natalie Bakopoulos' novel is a unique story that depicts political climates and their capability to shift inner and personal lives. Set in Athens and Paris during the military dictatorship of Greece (1967-1974), the novel explores a family's experience of love and resistance as they avoid the Regime of the Colonels. While the characters struggle with their passions, both personal and political, their lives begin to unveil in unexpected ways as their stories play out against the conflicts that surround them.
