This episode of Our American Republic will discuss the Legislative Branch of our Federal Government. It is the sole Branch of the Federal government with the authority to make law. Most importantly, neither the Executive or the Judicial may make any law that must be followed by the American people. Over the past 100 years, the powers of the Legislative Branch have been reviewed with different perspectives. Lets look at the nature of the branch and its role in our personal lives.
