Care work, whether paid or unpaid, highlights our needs and vulnerabilities throughout the life cycle, and points to the value of human interdependence. Panelists in this workshop explore the intersections of family, intimacy, health, and labor through a range of lenses, including domestic work, beauty services, and disability. This workshop, led by Ai-jen Poo (National Domestic Workers Alliance), Miliann Kang (University of Massachusetts, Amherst), and Ynestra King (Feminist author and activist), was part of The Scholar and Feminist Conference 2012, "Vulnerability: The Human and the Humanities," which took place on March 3 at Barnard College in New York City.
