PbD was not developed as a theoretical concept of data protection, but meant to be a practical approach for implementation. We are now at the stage where market leaders and regulators are demonstrating ways to translate the principles of PbD into more prescriptive requirements, specifications, standards, best practices, and operational performance criteria. The participants on this panel will discuss the work being done to give concrete, meaningful operational effect to the principles of Privacy by Design.
